Enjoy Sonoma County Performing Arts Virtually
Performing arts venues throughout Sonoma County have come up with new ways to stay virtually connected to art lovers from near and far. While catching a show or an exhibit may not be so readily accessible right now, you can still enjoy the arts, including virtual performances, online screenings of Indie films, daily art and music lessons, and more. Sonoma County creatives have you covered with some of these opportunities below for enjoying the arts in Sonoma County virtually.
Alexander Valley Film Society
The Alexander Valley Film Society (AVFS) was formed with the mission to strengthen the community through film. During this time of enjoying the arts at home, they’re offering creative ways for the local community to stay connected and engaged with the arts. Their ‘Shelter in Place Series’ offers the following:
- Educational Opportunities: Free distance learning for kids and filmmaker discussion webinars on Sundays for all ages.
- Arthouse Screening Series: Purchase the rental through the Alexander Valley Film Society, and a portion of box office proceeds comes back to AVFS.
- Wednesday Film & Food: Grab food and drinks from local restaurants, then settle in for a watch party with the Alexander Valley Film Society.
Below, see AVFS Executive Director Kathryn Hecht and actor Ron Livingston chat for the Alexander Valley Film Society’s SIP series.
