SingleThread Farm Restaurant & Inn, Healdsburg

From avant-garde cuisine to farm-to-table delights, Sonoma County's award-winning restaurants have made it a haven for food and wine connoisseurs.

From the 2023 Michelin Guide: “The menu is acutely tuned to each micro-season in Sonoma County, thanks to the bounty provided by farmer and co-owner, Katina Connaughton. Spring might bring delicately smoked Ora king salmon topped with arctic char roe and myoga; while winter showcases pumpkin tartare with Dungeness crab and a miso-makrut lime foam.”

Cyrus, Geyserville

One Michelin Star

Cyrus, Geyserville

Cyrus offers a unique “Dining Journey,” where guests are invited into different, inspired spaces and served curated plates with wine pairings. The experience begins in the Bubbles Lounge for first bites and expansive views. The second destination is the heart of the kitchen, where 12 guests witness culinary magic while enjoying plates presented by the chefs. Next, each individual party is ensconced at their own table in the Dining Room for dishes matched with wine from an extensive list. Finally, guests enter the “Chocolate Room” for a sweet treat and a parting gift.

From the 2023 Michelin Guide: “Dinner is an ebullient experience. Farm-fresh crudité dipped in umeboshi emulsion, Sonoma duck with turnips and hoisin, and black sesame financier with shaved plums are just a few examples of the impressive, globally accented cuisine.”

Bib Gourmand Restaurants in Sonoma County

Valley Bar + Bottle, Sonoma

Nestled in Sonoma Plaza, this cozy wine bar offers affordable, organic wines alongside its adventurous yet approachable small-bites menu, which includes their legendary soft-boiled eggs finished with a savory XO sauce and duck-breast tortillas served with house-made hoisin.

El Molino Central, Sonoma

“Lovers of regional Mexican food will swoon for this laid-back charmer,” read this year’s Michelin Guide. From tortillas and tamales to fish tacos, house-made salsa, and vegan-friendly bites, El Molino Central’s fast-casual fare is a favorite of both locals and visitors of Sonoma County.

Glen Ellen Star, Glen Ellen

A quaint cottage in the middle of the city, when you walk through the doors of Glen Ellen Star, you’re immediately greeted by knotty pine tables and the aromas of a traditional wood-burning oven. Like the venue itself, their menu will continue to warm your heart (and belly!) with hand-tossed pizzas, wood-roasted vegetables, and decadent desserts.

Stockhome, Petaluma

Roberth and Andrea Sundell opened Stockhome to pay homage to the Middle Eastern community in their native city of Stockholm, Sweden. From pickled herring and tabouleh to dill-shrimp salad topped with avocado, their menu is a unique blend of coastal Californian and Mid-Eastern cuisine.

Khom Loi, Sebastopol

This passion project from chefs Matthew Williams and Moishe Hahn-Schuman is an homage to Thai cuisine. The duo spent years traveling and studying Southeast Asian ingredients and cookery, and then melded it with their obsession for hyperlocal sourcing for an unparalleled fusion of flavors in the North Bay.

Ramen Gaijin, Sebastopol

This casual izakaya, also from chefs Matthew Williams and Moishe Hahn-Schuman, grew from a tiny pop-up restaurant to one of the most celebrated ramen shops in Sonoma County. Handmade noodles are top notch.
