Michelin Star Restaurants in Sonoma County
SingleThread, Healdsburg
Three Michelin Stars
For its fifth consecutive year, SingleThread was featured in the Michelin Guide. In fact, it’s one of only five U.S. restaurants to be awarded Three Michelin Stars and a Green Star for sustainability. Eco-friendly and wildly creative, the menu at SingleThread features locally sourced seafood as well as produce grown on the restaurant’s 24-acre farm. Surrounded by colorful, native flora and fauna, the restaurant offers a breathtaking yet relaxing ambiance that mirrors its vibrantly green menu. SingleThread is open for dinner every day.
From the 2023 Michelin Guide: “The menu is acutely tuned to each micro-season in Sonoma County, thanks to the bounty provided by farmer and co-owner, Katina Connaughton. Spring might bring delicately smoked Ora king salmon topped with arctic char roe and myoga; while winter showcases pumpkin tartare with Dungeness crab and a miso-makrut lime foam.”
Barndiva, Healdsburg
One Michelin Star
Surrounded by a stunning garden terrace and magical, twinkling lights, Barndiva has been a Healdsburg favorite for nearly 20 years. The restaurant sources all of its meat and produce from nearby farms and ranches, crafting modern, upscale country cuisine that’s earned it numerous accolades. Whether you’re eating under the stars on their outdoor patio or in their chic dining room, their seasonal prix-fixe dinner menu is always changing and includes a variety of options. Barndiva also offers brunch on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
From the 2023 Michelin Guide: “Barndiva is an enchanting retreat. The cooking hones in on prime local produce and sustainability. There is a tangible deftness in such aromatic flavor combinations as seared dayboat scallops with lemongrass-ginger butter sauce; as well as hamachi with green papaya, fermented mango, and serrano oil.”
Cyrus, Geyserville
One Michelin Star
Cyrus offers a unique “Dining Journey,” where guests are invited into different, inspired spaces and served curated plates with wine pairings. The experience begins in the Bubbles Lounge for first bites and expansive views. The second destination is the heart of the kitchen, where 12 guests witness culinary magic while enjoying plates presented by the chefs. Next, each individual party is ensconced at their own table in the Dining Room for dishes matched with wine from an extensive list. Finally, guests enter the “Chocolate Room” for a sweet treat and a parting gift.
From the 2023 Michelin Guide: “Dinner is an ebullient experience. Farm-fresh crudité dipped in umeboshi emulsion, Sonoma duck with turnips and hoisin, and black sesame financier with shaved plums are just a few examples of the impressive, globally accented cuisine.”
