Children’s Museum of Sonoma County
The Children’s Museum of Sonoma County is dedicated to instilling a sense of wonder and teaching children (and their parents) about the arts, sciences and the world around them. The Children’s Museum of Sonoma County invites you to access their resources page, where they’ve housed information for parents that includes educational resources for homeschooling, virtual storytime resources, at-home activities, and DIY videos that are easy to follow along. The Children’s Museum of Sonoma County also has a ‘Museum-on-the-Go Kit & Caboodles’ item for online purchase, which contains an assortment of materials that are frequently used in the museum’s programs. Your children can use the items for imaginative play and creation, or follow the directions provided for some of their most beloved activities. (Funds from the Kit & Caboodles go to cover the cost of supplies and help support the Children’s Museum during this prolonged closure.)
Art enthusiasts and history buffs alike can enjoy a virtual tour of the Museum of Sonoma County’s current exhibition, Landscape: Awe to Activism, with Executive Director and Art Curator, Jeff Nathanson. The Museum of Sonoma County’s exhibition includes works from more than 20 artists, including Ansel Adams, Diane Burko, John Marshall Gamble, Elizabeth Hoen, and the Sonoma Four (Tony King, Jack Stuppin, William Wheeler, and Adam Wolpert).
