Van Hoosear Wildflower Preserve

Sonoma Ecology Center

Join Sonoma Ecology Center naturalists at Van Hoosear Wildflower Preserve for one of the most spectacular wildflower displays in all of Sonoma County. Experience a pristine spring grassland with numerous species in full bloom. The 162-acre property in the foothills of Sonoma Mountain is protected by an Ag + Open Space conservation easement and the California Wildlife Conservation Board. Please make a reservation here.

Sugarloaf Ridge State Park

On the third Saturday of the month at Sugarloaf, Susan Topf’s Yoga Hike balances a mix of easy hiking and gentle yoga postures, breath work and guided meditation. The route varies on weather conditions and group interest and can typically cover two to three miles of varied terrain. On the fourth Saturday, Sugarloaf hosts a Forest Therapy Series as part of its ParksRx Program. The practice of Forest Therapy has been shown to improve health and well-being. Have you heard about shinrin-yoku or forest bathing? Here is an opportunity to take a walk and experience the practice for yourself. Learn techniques to maximize the health benefits and stress reducing qualities of this walking practice.

La Belle Vie Tours and Charlie’s Acres

Love to cuddle animals and sip wine? La Belle Vie Tours offers a farm sanctuary and vegan wine tour in the Sonoma Valley. After taking an up close and personal tour of Charlie’s Acres Farm Sanctuary to meet their 140 rescued animals, La Belle Vie Tours will whisk you off in their Mercedes Sprinter Van to two vegan friendly wineries in the Sonoma Valley. Redwood Hill Farm – Capracopia

What could possibly be better than “kids” (baby goats) waiting to cuddle with you? The flower field is starting to bloom and the fall olive harvest yielded some delicious extra virgin olive oil. Tours also include a visit to the adult herd where you can feed them tagasaste (a legume grown on the farm), check out the chickens, and see sustainability measures in action.

Bees N Blooms

Bees N Blooms presents a lavender labyrinth, the largest in California, as well as fragrant fields of eight different types of lavender and many other flowers. They have honeybees to visit, a tree nursery to peruse, and an organic vegetable garden. They’ll be open for Easter and Mother’s Day weekends and then select dates in June. McEvoy Ranch

Immerse yourself in the beauty of McEvoy Ranch by joining their socially distanced Walkabout Ranch Tours. You’ll journey through interplanted olive orchards and vineyards and along the way learn the history of the ranch and how McEvoy became the largest producer of organic olive oils in the US. Choose from three types of tours, and all are followed by tastings of the estate olive oils and wines.
