Take a Virtual Tour of Sonoma County
Needless to say, we’re all having to get a little creative in how we enjoy our favorite places. Recently, we’ve shared how Sonoma County wineries, breweries and restaurants are getting creative with things like virtual wine tastings, special shipping offers, and more. Today, we’re talking about Sonoma County’s outdoor spaces. While Sonoma County’s parks are temporarily closed, you can still get a peek thanks to live outdoor web cams at beaches, parks, and more across Sonoma County. See spring in bloom in Sonoma County at the following places.
Doran Beach
Doran Beach, located in Doran Regional Park, is a two-mile stretch of beach in Bodega Bay. Characterized by campsites overlooking the ocean, a bird walk coastal access trail, and a long sandy shoreline, Doran Beach is an iconic Sonoma County coastal destination. As the weather warms and the days get longer, get a little future vacation inspo from the Doran Beach web cam below overlooking the crashing waves of the Pacific.
Sugarloaf Ridge State Park
Sugarloaf Ridge State Park, located northeast of Kenwood, features miles of trails and terrain that range from 600 feet to 2,729 feet at the top of Bald Mountain. On a clear day, you can see as far as the San Francisco Bay Area, and even catch a peek of the Sierra Nevada. In the interim, catch a glimpse of Sugarloaf Ridge State Park from the observatory and its Bloomsky cam. Sugarloaf also has an interactive trail map, in which you can take a virtual tour to points of interest like Bald Mountain, the visitor center, and a waterfall.
Sonoma Plaza
Finally, there’s Sonoma Plaza, which is the largest plaza in California. Dating back to the mid-1800s, Sonoma Plaza, a national historic monument, has been a central gathering spot for years. Surrounding it are other historic buildings, such as the Mission San Francisco Solano, and numerous restaurants and boutique wineries. Get a little glimpse at the Live From Sonoma cam that runs 24 hours a day.
