Chamber Music Ensembles

And it’s built on the kind of collaboration that can only happen when each musician is fully tuned in — not just to the notes on the page, but to the energy in the room. The Chamber Music Ensembles concert brings together an exciting and diverse program performed by talented student musicians and faculty artists.

The evening will feature timeless masterpieces and unexpected gems, including:

Maurice Ravel’s String Quartet – a shimmering impressionist classic full of color and emotion

Antonín Dvořák’s Terzetto in C Major – a charming and lively piece for two violins and viola

Gioachino Rossini’s Duo for Cello and Double Bass – a witty, virtuosic dialogue between low strings

Johannes Brahms’ Horn Trio in E-flat Major – a romantic and lyrical journey blending horn, violin, and piano

Alexander Borodin’s String Quartet No. 2 – best known for its lush “Nocturne” movement

Robert Ward’s Serenade for Horn and Strings – a lyrical and heartfelt work by the recently retired principal horn of the San Francisco Symphony
