Olive Oil Pie Crust & Apple Pie Baking Demo

Join us at Gold Ridge Organic Farms for a baking demo with our very own Stephanie Klassen, a longtime local food writer, cookbook author, educator, and cook. Stephanie presents a cooking demo, showing us how to bake an apple pie using olive oil to create a delicious dairy-free and seed oil-free pastry.

Her food writing has been nominated twice for a James Beard Journalism Award, and her work has been published in the San Francisco Chronicle, The New York Times, Time Out New York, San Francisco Magazine, KQED, Kinfolk, Edible East Bay, and Edible Brooklyn, among others. She has taught cooking classes, led food tours around the Bay Area, and presented seasonal cooking demonstrations at farmers' markets across the country. She has been part of Gold Ridge Organic Farms since 2023, hosting olive oil tastings, leading orchard tours, and educating guests about the history, science, and culinary uses of the farm's apples, pears, citrus, and olives.
