The Remarkable Redwoods

Enjoy a deeper encounter with the Redwood forest. Experience its ecology and spirituality with the help of a well-informed guide, who will lead you to new understanding of the remarkable Redwoods before and after your zipline tour.

The Coastal Redwoods are an organism like no other. On our zipline tours, you have a passing encounter with them, but through this experience, you will have the opportunity to learn more about them, spend more time around them, and discover what we can learn from them as human beings, becoming their ambassadors as you go into the world after this experience. Meet your docent at our Sonoma Zipline Adventures Welcome Center. After you're checked in, they will lead you on a short journey to our only old-growth Redwood. During this time, you will learn the cultural and ecological history of the forest with regards to devastation and renewal, what we can gain from a deeper understanding of the forest, and even how a Redwood forest can sustain us in surprising ways. (Have you ever made tea from the bark of Douglas Fir tree, or eaten a four-leaf clover?) After your time beneath the trees is concluded, you'll transition from a time of quiet to a time of exhilaration with our Tree Tops zipline adventure!

Our Tree Tops Course is our fastest, highest and longest course. Fitted with a specially-designed harness, you’ll reach speeds of up to 40 miles per hour on our fastest zips. On other elements of the course, you can savor breathtaking views of the majestic Redwood forest at a more leisurely pace. 7 zips, 2 sky bridges and a rappel round out this adventure, along with a guide who will help you see the Redwoods like you’ve never seen them before.
