Healdsburg Veterans Memorial Beach offers a summer swimming beach on the Russian River as well as picnic areas, lawns, a par course, and restrooms.
From July through Labor Day, a seasonal dam creates a calm swimming area just south of the historic, steel-truss Memorial Bridge, and the beach is staffed daily with lifeguards.
Parking can fill by mid-day on summer weekends, and limited off-street parking is available nearby. Beach wheelchairs are available upon request. Leashed dogs are allowed on the lawn and in parking lot, but not on the beach or in the river. Alcohol is not allowed in this park. Open daily from 7 a.m. to ½ hour before sunset.
