Reminiscent of by-gone days, but modernized for today’s expectations, the Alexander Valley Community Hall is set in the heart of the renown Alexander Valley grape-growing region of Sonoma County, California. Located just 10 minutes west of Healdsburg, and only an hour and thirty minutes north of San Francisco, this little bit of history is a special place for a wine country wedding, a corporate get-away-meeting, or an anniversary celebration.
The citizens of Alexander Valley originally built the Hall in 1923 to be used as a community-meeting place, as well as a location for parties, dances and the celebrations of life. Over the decades, to locals, it became the spot where milestones were commemorated and memories were made. In 1997 the citizens of Alexander Valley came together once again to completely renovate and lovingly refurbished the bucolic hall in the middle of the vineyards.
The Hall is now available to individuals outside the valley for a limited number of events each year. The facility, which holds 200, has one large room featuring high ceilings, hardwood floors and beautiful original wood paneling. A smaller room, off the complete kitchen, is perfect for more modest gatherings, a buffet area, or as a caterer’s prep room for formal dinners. A lovely outdoor courtyard can be used for an outdoor ceremony, appetizers and drinks prior to dinner, or simply as an extension of the hall.
