Description

Jerry Knights Historic River Theater is located in Guerneville California 70 miles North of San Francisco. The Theater was built in the spring of 1947, originally as a movie theater, however it has enjoyed various uses such as Burlesque, a Comedy house and as host to many different forms of music. Many Artist have performed at the Theater such as the Jerry Garcia Band, Rickey Nelson, Buddy Holly, Frank Sinatra, Emmylou Harris, Quicksilver messenger service, Country Joe McDonald, Merle Sounders, The Dead, Martin Fierro, Ronnie Montrose, Elvin Bishop, Buddy Owen Band, and Joules Brossard.

Jerry Knight has now revitalized the River Theater with a complete makeover. The Theater now has a huge dance floor, an incredible must see lighting system that features, “Hog II computerized lighting”, the only one of its kind in the North Bay. and a rich and powerful sound system that features Tone Tubbys speakers! These innovative speakers are used by George Lucas, Eric Clapton R.E.M, Paul McCartney, and recently country music sensation Zack Brown Band just to name a few.
